watching the clip made me interested in the book because i think its believable that kids can be leaders just like any other adult. i don't really know if i would like to be on the show. i mean its a learning experience for real life, but its not something that i would want to do. i think parents want their children to do this so their children get what the real world is like so they don't get afraid when they are thrown out into the real world

From watching this video clip it made me engrossed in this book, we are going to be reading in class soon, because it made me understand that kids can soon become any leader they wish to be. I'm not sure if i would want to be on the show but it will not hurt me if i try. I think parents are putting their children to do this because as they start to grow they would understand the world more clearly. Also, kids will have the oppurtunity to grow knowledge doing this.

The participants in the reality show are as young as 8 and a half years old. I belived that the parents of the participants belived that their child can become a leader. As a matter of fact no one is born a leader with its “right qualities”. Therefore a child can have equal opportunity to become a leader. Throughout the clip I saw that it didn’t persuade me at all to be on the reality show. Although I thought “National Kid” would be interesting to watch . My opinion about reading the Lord of the Flies has change, because I now find that leadership can be a cool thing to read about.

it sounds like an interesting show. i've seen the comercial on tv.
i wouldn't like to have to do all the work, but i think i could benefit from being on the show because it teaches you that nothing in life comes easy. i believe that anyone could build a society if they wanted to. here's a phrase i learned that might explain why: when there's a will, there's a way.

After watching the video and reading the article on "Kid Nation," I must say I am slightly interested in reading Lord of the Flies. It would be kind of fun to participate in this show because just like the kids on the show I think I can live on my own and do just fine. I think that the parents agreed to have their kids on the show because maybe the 8 1/2 year olds don't act like they're 8 1/2 and they probably think they are much older than their true age. There parents probably found that putting their kids on a show like "Kid Nation" would teach them a lesson on how hard it really is to live on your own.

From seeing this trailer it sounds to me like kid nation is just lords of the flies except they're in a town not and island. It also kind of disproves William Golding's book,Lords of the flies, because he belives due to corruption and evil kids will destroy would be violent stranded together yet these kids look like they resolve all problems.one difference i realized though is that there are girls in kid nation too which might have some effect

After I watch the short moive about the kids nation, I have more interest in read the book of the "Lord of the Fly". This is becase that I am very surprise that the kids can work on themselves and without not parent and teachers and anybody help them. Well, maybe I will also join this activity because I want to have a chance to work on myself and I also want to have a adventure in different places. Thank you for letting me know that there are activities that can teach kids how to live on themselves when there are no help.

watching the promo made me more interested in The Lord of The Flies. it made leadership in a more interesting way then i was thinking about. It showed that kids can be a leader in tought times. if i had a chance i probably might go on the show because it will teach me how hard it is to be a true leader or to follow a leader

Does watching this show pique your interest in reading Lord of the Flies ?Would you want to sign up to be a participant on this reality show? What do you think motivated parents to let their children as young as 8 1/2 years old be on this show?

The clip made me more interested in reading the book because it would be interesting to see how kids would run their own community and see if they could be as successful as adults. The reality show is something I would actually probably do because you get to run your own community and have other kids look up to you if your a good leader. The whole way they have the show set up is good to teach the kids lessons. I am actually not sure why parents would let their 8 and 1/2 year old to live alone away from them when he is so young and probably unstable, considering how many kids were crying in that video. They may have done it because it was something the kid wanted to do because I guess they wanted to let him learn by himself what would happen, and to have a first hand experience.

From watching this clip on kid nation it amde really interested in The Lord of the Flies. It makes me realize that kids can do a lot if they set there mind to it. I would really want to be on this show because I think it would be a great experience.

Yes, b/c it shows that kids can be leaders like any adult. I would be hesitant about joining the show b/c even though its a learning experience, I would be nervous about learning about leadership and being a strong person inside and out. The parents put the kids on the show b/c they want them to show them something out of their comfortable homes and to learn what its like in the real world when things are tough.

From watching this clip i was intrested in the book because i think it's possible that somone in a young age can become a leader but nothing will be easy. Everyhitng that happens to the kids in thhe show is a learning a experience to their lives. I think parents want their chilren to learn whats best in life and the the real world.

Watching this clip made me relaize that if you but your mind to it, you can do anything. It also made me relaize that anyone can be a leader. In this clip, it should how the children took turns leader and if something was going wrong they spoke up, and said want they thought. This shows that anyone can become a leader, because everyone has the little strength to become one, its just up to you to keep on adding on to that strength. I think the parents let their children do this to show them that there capable of anything.

I beleve kids that practice leading early in life can live are more sucsessfull in life then people who dont know how to stick up for them selfs. Watching this clip made me intristed in how this show is going to be a good show for kids to learn how to become roll modles and make something of themselfs. Doing more resurch into the show i here that people are sueing becuse the kids were left without adults for 45 days and people were drinking bleach and stuff over there that was harming them. I probubly wouldnt do this show becuse of what i hear but if i didnt hear that i would probubly becuse it looks like it would be good for us.

Watching this video made me realalize that these kids can't do everything by themselves. In this specific situation people try to become leaders by catching peoples attention by showing people what they can do in a risky situation

the main difference between lord of the flies and kid nation is despite the fact they say there are no adults there is. the guy that hosts this show privides some sembolece of structure. Lord of the flies was devoid of interference from adults. when i first saw this on tv i thought of goldings book and thought this is going to run into some major problems. the two are simmilar but not the same expieerament

i think that parents let there kids go to boonza so they can learn responsibility on there own and see how hard it is to supply for yourself and others

this is a really good video because it is great how the kids were solving their problems as adults. i would like to be in this show because it could be a great experince to my life and i could learn a lot of things from there. A lot of parents would like to have this kind of children because, i mean, look what all this kids can do, it is really amazing.
