As Simple As Snow by Gregory Galloway

The story of Anna Cayne, as told by our unnamed narrator, so thoroughly touches on all of our Othello themes. Is it simply Anna's gender that gives her so much power over everyone in the town? Or as an outsider is she so in tune with people's illusions and realities it makes it easy for her to manipulate everyone around her? Did Anna use jealousy and suspicion to manipulate the narrator? Who is more flawed--Anna or the narrator?Once you get into the book, you may want to check out the As Simple as Snow website to more fully understand Anna by learning more about the authors and musicians that intrigued her.

i dont get why anna have to leave all those clues for the narrator when she doesnt go find him nor does she even tel lhim when they will meet up of if she died or not. this is like the book "The Giver" that doesnt give an ending to the story and although it is kind of interesting, its also annoying not to know the end, does anyone have a clue wha the end might be for the narrator? annie lu 7period, ms henry

I also do not understand why the protagonist's name is not mentioned of throughout the entire novel. Although it is mentioned that he has the same name as his uncle, they still don't reveal his name. As Annie mentioned in her blog, I also do not understand why Anna goes to all the trouble to leave clues for the protagonist; why can't she just meet him or tell him what she needs to tell him in person? I also believe that maybe the clues that shes giving him tie in somehow with her disappearance.

in response to annie lu:
I read the book during the summer and diddnt understand it much until i studied it a little more.

You have to understand that this book is a mystery book, all the clues that were left behind have some kind of significant meaning. For example the CD's track names, The Houdini coded message all those are clues to Anna's dissapearance. This is a site that really helped me...

So if you have any questions you can always ask Ms. Henry, or me.

I hope this info helped.
